Review on CND Essentials Nail Cuticle Solaroil by Darcy Thorson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yes - all the hype is true, and even then a little bit.

Incredible product for two reasons: (1) Healthy eponychium (often incorrectly referred to as the cuticle, the bulge of skin around the nails). Mine were ragged and horribly overgrown. I didn't want to keep trimming them because it just makes them seem bigger and bigger. Mine were so unsightly that I was embarrassed to show my hands. I had a manicure in March and the technician was very accommodating but dismayed at how much skin had to be trimmed. There was a huge pile! I don't have the time or money to go to the salon regularly to have them trimmed, and trimming has made the problem worse (from what I later learned). I've done a lot of research on the internet on what to do. Multiple sources have recommended using CND Solar Oil multiple times a day. I've been using it 7-14 times a week for three months and my hands don't even look like mine. The overgrown "hedges" around my nails are completely gone, as is the peeling skin or ridges. I recently had a manicure and didn't even cut anything! I hardly recognize her! For that reason alone I would give it as many stars as possible. I love showing my hands! (2) nail strength. When I bought it I didn't realize it would strengthen my nails. I was totally amazed and couldn't be more excited. I've always kept my nails pretty short because I'm a serious person and didn't get comfortable with content. I might have spent money on a gel manicure once a year and let it grow out a bit, but the gel was the only way to get length. My nails are almost like toenails now. They just grow and don't break! I started using nail polish for the first time in my life and people think I have gel! I have a bottle at work and one on my bedside table. I use it every morning at work and every night before bed. This will be a staple for life - I LOVE IT!
