Review on Invisible Plate Hanger: Flatiron Disc, 4-Inch - Innovative Solution for Displaying Plates by Unm Weil

From previous reviews it appears that there are conflicting opinions as to how this product works. I suspect the differences have to do with the type of surface the disc was mounted on. In my case I tried to hang a large decorative bowl. It was the specified weight and the area below was the same size as the disk. However, it's a very slick surface, which I felt was an issue. A porous surface would work well. I followed the instructions exactly. The glue was just past the suggested time, so I placed the disc on the bowl, making sure there were no air pockets and that it was smooth. In the morning the glue was dry and the disk was peeling off, so the disk was unusable for my purpose. Perhaps the product description could indicate that slippery surfaces could be a problem. I can try attaching it with gorilla tape.
