I have ordered a kit to replace the high maintenance front air intakes on my Craftsman garden tractor. If you live in an area where spikes or sharp sticks are not a constant problem, you may not need them. They have some handling disadvantages to contend with such as: B. A rougher ride and the tires skid/skid on hard surfaces, hills or wet grass when cornering. At the same time, everything else is 100% positive. The tire weighs approximately the same as a tire filled with air, slime/gorilla or foam. These 2 wheels (tire and rim) assembled in about 15 minutes and fit perfectly on the Craftsman 3/4 inch spindle. Now I laugh when I see Mesquite spikes stuck in these tires! Another advantage over the foam filling is that they don't feel flat after being left idle for a period of time. So far they're truly maintenance free - if you hate scheduling mowing and then spending an extra 30 minutes plugging in a flat tire and checking tire pressure - this is the answer!
