I don't know why it's called a moisturizing lip scrub because it doesn't actually have any moisturizing ingredients. Maybe hydrating because removing dead skin allows moisture to penetrate better? I do not know. I love that it exfoliates my dry lips. I use it at night and then a day or two later I use a lip scrub to remove some of the dead skin that has appeared. I will probably buy again as this is one of the few products of this type on the market. I always apply a soothing lip balm afterwards. Hopefully this will help some discolored lips stop picking at them in the long run.
