Packaging spoiled goods

The frame itself is excellent. The problem is there are 22 heavy braces on the back and no matter how carefully I try to remove them, they dent and scratch the frame. Everything is just to hold a few pieces of cardboard to protect gear during transit. I can't even remove them all (with tools) so they don't lay flat when hung due to the staples protruding. Why not use tape? Or some small, easy-to-remove braces? You certainly didn't need 22 of these. such a crap
