I bought these to connect a media player to my old Yamaha receiver. There is no optical cable, so you'll need a better RCA cable than the one that comes with the player. The media player is small so I wanted the cable to be flexible so as not to put too much strain on the connectors. These braided RCA cables did it! I connected the cable to the audio out ports of the player and to the line 2 ports of the receiver. Turned on the receiver, flipped the input knob to Line 2, turned on speakers A and B, and streamed music through my old Klipsch bookshelf speakers. Sounds good!
