Swimming instructor with 15 years experience. This is a great pool jacket that will protect you from the sun and keep you warm. I hate water shaking and this definitely helps. I don't usually swim all the time, but move back and forth in the pool with my students. Important Note: I would recommend this jacket to teachers or anyone looking to throw on while boating, kayaking or lounging. . I would not recommend this to anyone trying to swim in circles. Swim Instructor's Note (Boys): Cut a small hole in the lower left side of the flap behind the zipper. When you go to class, pull a drawstring of your shorts through this hole to keep the suit from riding up and exposing your stomach. Sorry ladies, if you don't wear shorts, this jacket doesn't suit you. Your stomach will be visible all the time and you will have to fight with the suit to stay decent. Pro tip: Most female instructors I know have ripped jackets for swimming in the pool. It tends to sit a lot better in the middle than others, even Roxy or Billabong.
