I LOVE this duvet. However, my lungs didn't do this when it first appeared. I ordered it because I have some heavy queen size duvets on the double bed. When I moved I downgraded and wanted something flashier. My room is purple gray and black, so I ordered a purple duvet. It's very soft, very warm but not hot, and light enough not to bother me or feel heavy. I washed it as soon as it arrived because it must have had some chemicals on it that made me gasp and cough when I opened the sealed package. This completely solved this problem. Most of the clothes and blankets have certain chemicals in them but this was particularly bad so please wash them when you open them. I promise you the ceiling will be fine after that. I used to hate buying duvets because they lost their shape or fluffed up in the washing machine, but this has held up well for about 3 washes so far. :)
