Review on Dual Lithium Battery Smart Charger by Lori Hubbard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

WARNING! It does not charge car batteries!

I ordered a very bright flashlight. This is still the best flashlight I could get. There were other items in the kit including a charger for a lithium battery. The only downside to the flashlight was the charger, poorly designed and flimsy. So I ordered that. I immediately charged all four 3.7 volt lithium batteries that I have. The two battery outputs are REALLY independent! For example, you can put a lithium battery on one side and a nickel-cadmium battery on the other! It's better made than the one that came with my flashlight (and it really works). I agree with the other reviewer and love the fact that it has a power cord. It has two sets of blue LED indicators. After the device has analyzed the battery, they will start flashing one after the other from smaller to larger, indicating that the battery is being charged on this side. When the battery is charging, the smallest one stays on and only the other two flash. Then the middle one lights up and only the largest flashes. Leaving the largest of them (all three) on will charge the battery. It's good when what you've ordered arrives and you STILL think you've picked the best of the description and reviews and here it is! If it doesn't break tomorrow, great! It gets moderately warm on the electronics side. The included instructions say that if the indicator doesn't turn green, you may have dirty or oxidized battery terminals. That is not right; The traffic light does not turn green at all. If they all light up, the battery is charged. The instructions also state that it is suitable for NiCad, NiMH and Lithium. I'm charging some "hybrid" batteries (I think they should be NiMH anyway - 1.2 volts) and they're working great. It's mentioned in the manual, but info: it charges one battery (either way) faster than two. Overall it outputs an amp.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • packaging is ugly
