First of all. This thing is really flimsy. The back bows out, sides are equally flimsy. I thought for $36 (at time of this review) it would net me a decent quality tier shelf system. This thing is worth about $10. Very cheap quality.But the biggest head scratcher is that you only screw half of the shelves in. The other half just slide in very loosely. So then they also slide out very easily. Why? It's makes zero sense.So I added zip-ties to each of the three shelves w/o screws (heads up to the other reviewer that mentioned it) through the back and through each shelf for a total of six zip-ties. This helps the shelves to stay in place but doesn't do much to make the item any sturdier. It also makes the item look very trashy. This is to be used in a classroom setting. It looks like an eyesore w/ these zip-ties hanging out the back.Seriously disappointed. Maybe look elsewhere for a better product? I may end up returning it myself and getting something else.
