Review on AmScope LED-144-YK 144-LED Microscope Ring Light: Enhanced Illumination for Optimal Viewing by Jesse Azuse

I bought this LED light to replace the fluorescent light that came with a used stereoscope I bought earlier this year. I use it to inspect small parts of dental instruments that I inspect for repair purposes. This light allows me to see really fine detail and quickly determine if any parts are worn or damaged so I can quickly determine if a replacement is needed. The old light was too weak at high power and there really is a difference between day and night! With this light I don't even have to crank it to max when using max power at 90x. I find adjusting the brightness from 1/2 to 3/4 is sufficient for my purposes. I can see the smallest details when inspecting parts for wear and damage. It's also great for inspecting parts after they've been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner to see how well they've been cleaned. With LEDs I don't have to worry about the bulbs burning out and I really like the white light they give off. If you're buying an inspection microscope for the same purpose as mine, I highly recommend this light!
