This ringer box is a great complement to the Automatic Electric 183 Spacemaker. The Automatic Electric 183 Spacemaker was a compact telephone manufactured from 1958 to 1983 that was a complete telephone except that it did not have a ringer as there was no small enough ringer available at the time. An outside call was made for them, but they are not as common as telephones. This box allows you to add a bell to the Automatic Electric 183 Spacemaker and has a modular phone jack that allows you to connect this box between the Automatic Electric 183 Spacemaker, which has a modular power cord, and a wall. The box can also be used on its own without a phone connected, allowing you to use it with phones that are either plugged in or have a four-pin connector on the end of the power cord.
