DC-07Ooooo thank you for the square belt holder. It doesn't work without a replacement! Me and my 11 year old son did it. I needed another hand to pry. I didn't have to change the belt but there were 2 more in the kit, after 12 years my brush bearings failed. Being so old I decided to just replace the whipping brush. Accessible! My vacuum cleaner is a champion! Every few years I take it apart and wash the whole thing. I also changed the engine filter a while ago! Works like new. This new brush is a hair's breadth softer. But now I understand how my brushes wore out after 4 houses in length. Also very happy with softer bristles.
