Review on Johnsons Moisturizing Baby Lightweight Hypoallergenic by Melinda Oliver

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Too light for eczema prone skin but great for others; Very subtle fragrance

I have eczema so I use lotion and need gentle ones. This is a good moisturizer, but it's too light for my skin. I need a very thick (or very moisturizing) lotion and this one is too light for me; At the end of the day my feet were dry and itchy, I had to reapply them before going to bed. In comparison, I apply Eucerin for Baby in the morning and it lasts all day. However, it is not intended for eczema sufferers so I let my husband use it and he loves it. He wasn't sure when I told him it was vanilla, but the flavor is very subtle. You won't even notice it after an hour or so, and even if you apply it, it smells just as much like oatmeal as it does vanilla. (According to him, that's not "femininity", LOL). It absorbs quickly (he does not have the patience to wait for the lotion to dry), does not transfer to clothes and keeps the skin moisturized throughout the day. It feels and smells nice and doesn't contain any ingredients to worry about. It's also easy to skip the pump, which I know is welcome when trying to hydrate a squirming baby. Personally, I love it when babies smell like Original Johnson's Baby Lotion (it just brings back good memories🤗), but it's also beautiful. I would recommend it, but if your child has eczema you can use a moisturizer made specifically for this condition (because itching is terrible).

Pros
  • Clinically proven gentle hypoallergenic lotion, tested by pediatricians and dermatologists and free from parabens, phthalates and dyes
