I've had several different types of these units but this one was the worst when it came to noise. The Anker ROAV SmartCharge T1 was my first one I've ever received, but it hasn't charged me as much or nearly as often as this one. I ended up giving it away because I wasn't going anywhere at the time. Got this as a small replacement and it's terrible but didn't want to return it because 1. it's cheap. 2. Technically it works. 3. I wanted to listen to music in the car and not wait for a new one
