AT A GLANCE: The colors on this display are good, but the manufacturing process used to assemble these monitors needs some tweaking. GENERAL: I purchased this monitor to expand my desktop viewing experience for work at home. WHAT I LIKE: Vivid IPS colors meet my expectations (and I'm picky about bright colors) - Comes with standard HDMI and DVI-to-HDMI cables - Refresh rate is smooth, I don't experience any ghosting on the display noticed - No visible glare from backlight - Stable stand, monitor doesn't shake from vibration when typing on a desk WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: - Very short power cord, but it's a standard computer D-plug, so I was able to use a different one - Some parts of the monitor's foam packaging got stuck between the screen and the bezel (see photo mine). Worse, I can't get the styrofoam out! He's stuck in the monitor! - The monitor has several broken spots on the screen. These are not dead pixels, but debris that has seeped into the display, causing small dark spots. It's clear that Samsung has lost control over the quality of its manufacturers or partners who assemble these monitors. CONCLUSION: Given Samsung's quality and Samsung's pricing, I expected this monitor to be flawless. However, there are too many minor issues to give an enthusiastic overall review. I like the colors but the imperfections make me sad. It's good that Revain has a great returns policy. So if you get a monitor like this, send it back ASAP. Carefully inspect the entire monitor before the 30-day return period expires. Overall, I do not recommend this monitor due to manufacturing quality control issues.
