Yes, the box is big compared to the amount of products you will receive. But I thought it was made so that your child could keep their creation in a box or use the box for crafts. In general, the product is interesting for children. my kids love it It's clean and easy to use with no real clutter. I know some parents have complained that there isn't enough detail to make some of the larger items pictured, but threads of wax are not meant to be used to make, for example, the inside body of a dinosaur or car - use clay. for this, or buy a figurine and then cover it in wax to decorate it. If you look at suggestions or instructions, it pretty much tells you that. . You can use them to decorate paper. Think of it more as painting without the mess to clean up. I think overall you get quite a bit for the money and for the most part it can be reused for some time if you have a clean workspace for your child to be creative and play. If your kids play with pet hair, dirt and dust, yes, pet hair will likely get on the wax floss and get dirty, but that is not a product defect. I don't normally leave reviews but I think it's important to leave a review on a product for how effective it is and this product is great.
