Review on 🌱 Fluval Plant 3.0 LED Planted Aquarium Lighting: Optimal 32 Watts for 24-34 inch tanks by Jill Parrott

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good features, decent lighting, should be suitable for most people

Nice, smooth, good handling. I have an aquarium with CO2 injected plants and plants in a carpet. This device replaced the 4 T5 HO device. I had to return it because my tank is 21 inches deep and the unit just wasn't producing enough light to reach the substrate. In my situation I would have to buy two of these and figure out how to hang them over the tank like the light from the previous pendant light. The total cost for two and the suspension is the same as a more expensive and powerful professional device. If you have a shallow tank 16 inches or less, this light will do the job just fine. Also, you'll need to use a more powerful flashlight or two. Conclusion: LEDs are much better today than they were a few years ago, but with a larger tank you have to pay for a more powerful device.
