I'm not a photographer and I don't play TV. I am an avid hunter and marksman. I bought this ballhead to keep the +20# cannon safe at standing height while pivoting to hit multiple targets at different ranges in a limited time environment. I looked at RRS "Golden Unicorn" ball heads and even used them. My criteria for purchasing a ball head for my Leofoto LN-324C CF tripod were: - Light weight but strong enough to carry anything from a range finder to a heavy recoil PRS chassis. CHECK - large controls are logically arranged and easy to find without looking CHECK - compact enough to keep in my hunting backpack when mounted on a tripod CHECK - reasonably priced so I don't have to sell a cardioid. They don't have a quick release lever for the Arca Swiss Top Plate Connector but I can live with that for a comparable head at half the price of an expensive non-stock unicorn! This head is a perfect match for the Leofoto LN-324C carbon fiber tripod, which is also comparable to the RRS tripod at half the price! Have more money to reload ammo to turn $ into noise! Shoot accurately and happily, brothers and sisters of shooting sports!
