Not the Pfaltzgraff I remember

This cutlery set looks beautiful. The scrolling is nice and they are comfortable in the hand. BUT this is NOT the high quality Pfaltzgraff I owned 30 years ago. My previous experience with the brand is the main reason I bought this set. When a company reports that cutlery is rusting, they are telling the absolute truth! I always rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher so they don't stick to food. I try to run the dishwasher every night, but when there are just the two of us, sometimes the dishes don't last until the next day. And YES, the knives get rusty spots almost every time I take them out. You need to take a rag and wipe them. A couple of times there were also rust spots on some spoons. My other sterling silver items don't have the same problem and are just a cheap store brand; This is NOT the quality I expect from the Pfaltzgraff brand and I will not be buying from them again.

Pros
  • NO POLISHING NEEDED: This cutlery never needs polishing which makes it easy to care for and maintain
Cons
  • Expensive
