My cat was recently diagnosed with Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (sterile/no infection). It's caused by stress (they say!), and forcibly injecting him with supplement pills or shots from a vet caused him even more stress. It still didn't work - the liquid got everywhere but his mouth and he scratched me and then hid and wouldn't let me near him anymore. Not a very good long term solution and extremely damaging to confidence. I thought I could never help him feel better. I tried mixing his vet-prescribed liquid supplement (Furinaide) into his food but he refused to eat it. A teaspoon of this D-Mannose powder is mixed with his food and he eats it with no problem! I'm very glad we found something that works and doesn't stress him out. He doesn't even know. It absorbs/mixes quickly and very well into its ground up raw feed and doesn't seem to taste suspicious or change the texture of the feed. With that in mind, I would recommend it for the most suspicious/fussy cats. I also mix a tablespoon of water with every meal to be on the safe side, although raw food already contains a lot of water. He is now urinating in a litter box instead of on the floor or couch, which is a good sign of recovery. I plan on leaving him with it twice a week for a while, and more often if he's showing any signs of aggravation. I wanted to write this positive review in case anyone reading this is wondering if their picky cat would eat this in their food. Proven and with easy success!
