PLASMA WAVE PRODUCES OZONE

"Plasma wave" is just a catchphrase for ionization and electric air purification. This means that despite claims by Winix, ozone is being produced in small amounts. The amount of ozone generated is low enough to meet most testing standards. However, ozone doesn't break down for very long, meaning it builds up in your home and in your lungs. Prolonged use of this "plasma wave technology" will eventually result in harmful effects on those exposed to it. Especially those who have previously had respiratory conditions (asthma, allergies, etc.)! I suspect that some people are allergic to ozone. I bought this product thinking I made a good choice for myself, my family and my pets. However, after turning on the plasma wave turbofan, I noticed my lungs starting to burn and my asthmatic cat starting to sneeze. It's been an hour and my chest still hurts. My cat appears to be fine, but startled me and forced me to do extensive research on the "plasma wave". The final verdict is yes, despite their claims, this facility and all other facilities using any kind of "plasma wave" produce ozone, which is bad for your health. health. If you are happy with all of that, the air purifier will work like a charm. Removes even the most stubborn odors. And very fast! It's very quiet at the lowest settings, and even in turbo mode it sounds like that $40 fan you buy at Walmart. That said, not too noisy at all, but too annoying to sleep on. The device itself is quite large. He put my big, big cat to shame. It's not that hard to carry up two flights of stairs if you're not in shape! It is easy to disassemble and pretty easy to use. Overall I am very disappointed in the fact that it produces ozone as otherwise it is a fantastic air purifier. You can turn off the plasma wave, but there's no research on whether ozone is produced when it's off, and I'm too scared to take the risk. 5/5 for quality and efficiency. However, -10/5 for lying about one of the most harmful toxins still allowed in our homes. I drank 50 cups of ramen (full of GMOs, saturated fats, sodium and all that other shit everyone hates) before showing it back to my family.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Minor problems
