Before purchasing, we did some research to choose the best fan type for a large open space with a very high ceiling. Hands down DC motor cooling fan was the best choice. We've shopped at specialty stores that only sell fans or light fixtures and learned a lot from them, but we've looked for prices over $600 just for the fan. For 19ft ceilings we had to buy a 72" extension, they were over $100 a pole. With a limited budget and good DIY skills, we started shopping online. Reviews for the Kensgrove Outdoor Fan have been consistently positive and yes it is suitable for outdoor use but works great indoors. Our problem was that we knew we had to buy an extension but didn't know which color to go for. We ordered a fan and as soon as it arrived we took the short stick that came with it to Home Depot to see what color would work best. The new bronze was almost perfect so we tried ordering from Home Depot but before they shipped there was a month left so we found it on Amazon. We hired an electrician, two men came with a really cool ladder and did a great job installing it. We are 100% satisfied.
