This was my first purchase of a dish and a good one at that. Advantages; 1. Marble absorbs hot water well and retains heat to form warm foam. 2. The ribs inside the bowl turn this bowl into a foam generator. 3. Bowl beautiful appearance. 4. Significant weight to the touch. It's just the right size to hold the cup in my hand when I'm making foam. minuses; 1. This is not a travel bowl due to the material and weight. 2. The inside of the neck has a square edge instead of a rounded one, which creates an uncomfortable feeling when your fingers hit the rim of the bowl while frothing. 3. The mouth opening is a little small compared to other bowls, not suitable for use with large (wide) brush handles, narrow brush handles work well. I love this bowl and when I use my Parker Black Badger brush it's my goto bowl. Love the fact that this bowl retains heat and is a good weight. The perfect addition to any shaving cabinet.
