I first bought this mask for my son to use as a face mask. This is a true neutral black sports mesh fabric. He has others, but this is the best he has. The fabric is very breathable. It's so easy to breathe in that my son says he doesn't even realize he's wearing it. He wears glasses and can wear them for over an hour without the lenses fogging up. Both ends have raised edges, making them more durable than his other balaclava that he has. It stretches well and comfortably fits his large head and thick, muscular neck, and is completely unconstructive. It is slightly warm - protects against cold wind. The fabric somehow does not stretch - very elastic, but firmly sewn.
