Bought for a DIY Laptop/Laptop GPS Box. The LED screen works as expected on Linux, including touchscreen functionality with the underlying touchkitusb driver. Users should be warned if they reside or travel in Canada that using one of these screens can easily violate Canadian law due to Canada's strict laws regarding the use of electronic devices while driving. (i.e. placing a laptop in the back seat within reach of the driver's hands could be construed as texting while driving, even when the driver isn't. Also, the GPS screens seem to be more front-mounted than I had though Some difficulty seeing details.) However, in the US, some or most state laws do not provide for GPS devices, including happily scrolling the map if the driver does not enter an address. (I could be wrong here, so be sure to check your local driving laws. Ridiculous. :-/)
