Review on πŸ’‘ Captivating Vintage Edison Rolay Filament Incandescent: A Nostalgic Lighting Upgrade by James Shavers

Fantastic low cost 'industrial' lighting solution

These Edison bulbs are a great and affordable way to add a sophisticated 'industrial' look to your home decor. As a general rule, if you want to see glowing filaments without being blinded, you should get a 25W bulb. The 25W bulb provides a warm glow that isn't good enough for reading/writing, but provides a cozy, aesthetically pleasing lighting solution. If the bulb is over 25 watts, they will shine too brightly and look like a normal run-of-the-mill bulb (and kind of off). I attached two decorative shelf brackets to the wall on either side of my favorite seat to use as a "rod" / lamp hanger. I wrapped plug-in pendant light cords around the brackets, and these Edison bulbs now hang about 10 inches from the wall above each armrest of the 2-seater chair. I received two antique bronze lamp rails to protect the bulbs and give them an industrial look. Turned out great (I'll post pics later). Bought everything here at Revain, spent about $65, took less than 45 minutes to make. These bulbs are fantastic and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. I'm curious how long light bulbs last with regular daily use. I will report any outages, but I don't anticipate it.
