I just bought a new Martin acoustic guitar and really want to make sure it's properly hydrated when not playing. The neck on my last acoustic guitar warped horribly because I didn't mute it to begin with which makes it unusable now, luckily I didn't pay for it to begin with. Now that I've invested in a starter tool, I decided it was time to get properly hydrated, so I bought hydration products (head and body moisturizer) but the problem was I didn't know what percentage in If so, I began to worry. This guy seems pretty accurate, I compare it to a room humidity monitor I bought and it only seems like a 2-3% difference from a room humidity monitor. Not sure which is more accurate but now I have an idea of where the humidity is in my case which gives me a lot of confidence. I would advise this to anyone unsure about the humidity level of the instrument case.
