I've been shaving with a safety razor for some time now. I accidentally dropped the bowl and soap and they were destroyed. I had to buy a new bowl and soap to replace the old stuff. I will say that this soap gave the best lather I have ever had. The combination of pre-shave oil and this soap ensures the smoothest possible shave without irritation – at least on my face. It has thick foam that sticks, which is the most important thing. I didn't find it necessary to lather during the first shave. This is important because it means the soap is actually holding onto facial hair, giving you a cleaner cut if you lather properly. Nothing is too chemical in the ingredients either. The soap has a wonderful scent and seems to last a long time. After all, this soap is worth the money. I have tried different types of soap on the market and found this to be the best soap in my opinion. Can't wait to buy more to try different flavors. Try this soap, you won't be disappointed!
