I was disappointed in these clasps. I have many years of experience with cars. There were no instructions with my locks. Like everyone else, I took great care when drilling my car's hood. I measure and put the pins right in the middle. It was not clear to me at what level exactly the height of the pins should be adjusted. Remember, no instructions. I adjusted them to what I felt was the right level. Bonnet closed and opened several times. worked correctly After driving several times, I tried to open the hood, it got stuck. I've tried everything to open it. Unfortunately I had to drill the locking knob. I can only imagine that the hood must have experienced some sort of structural stress after riding it, causing a change in geometry (pin spacing). I went to the local auto parts store, bought some through the pins and replaced the latches. Maybe it would work with a carbon fiber or fiberglass hood? I used them in place of the factory mechanical hood latch. My experience was a waste of $45. The worst end of it is 3 hours time. At my job, that's about $180.
