Review on Auto Meter 1397 Electric Tachometer by Gene Rosado

This tachometer has a very clear look and responds very well to engine acceleration. The only thing I don't like is that the needle vibrates at idle and fluctuates between 700-900 rpm. The digital tach reads a steady 750 RPM so I'd like to think it's a sensor fault, but I can't be 100% sure without installing another analog tach to compare. In all positions except idle, the arrow is very smooth and stable. Conclusion. I also recommend this sensor for "idle vibration" because it responds well to all other speed ranges and is worth its price. Perhaps other reviewers can let us know if they experience "idle vibration".
