Compared to my 2 year old UV shoes they seem just as good. Inside is a cheap white rubber material on the side that barely overlaps with the heavier black material, in contrast to the sturdier construction of the old UV. I have to search, but that's no problem. Otherwise, the fit and comfort are the same. It's just nice to have a shoe that actually follows the shape of your foot. I still want someone to explain why other shoes have a sharp point and pinch your toes. My old sneakers are HORRIBLE teal so the all black color was a nice bonus this time.
