Better than homemade
I no longer work with drum brakes as all cars in our fleet have disc brakes since 2013. But when I do, this tool comes in very handy. The older mechanic who taught me just uses whatever plug he has and it's a pain in the butt. Also, it has a rim so I don't have to worry about overloading the hubs, just stop rattling when the rim hits the cross.
