Sounds great but complete crap to hook up

I was really excited to put them in a stereo pair and use them as my main pair of speakers. Unfortunately, due to the complete stuttering of the connection process, that dream never came true. Imagine spending $2,500 on two wireless speakers and only being able to connect to one via Bluetooth. drives you crazy No matter what type of network connection I tried, I got nothing but "an unexpected error occurred". After two hours of trying to connect any speaker to my network via Wi-Fi and Ethernet, I was unsuccessful. The Devialet website and videos are completely useless. Well I spent a Sunday afternoon posting this crap on the web. The app first knew I had two speakers, but then lost one completely and was never able to recognize it again, even after multiple resets. I also noticed an odd smell coming from one of the speakers, so I'm not sure if it's a bad one or something else - the only thing I'm sure of is that I didn't pay $1400 for a Bluetooth -Speaker Pay - Devialet can have their puppies back and post in a hurry. I'm sticking with what I have and forgetting about this little trip off the main road. Is the hype about the sound true โ€“ yes. They play as smoothly as a pair of $15,000 totems. They lack some warmth, but according to George, tone color and resolution are top notch. They're also very insightful as expensive speakers - even when only using one over a Bluetooth connection. However, for all the connection woes, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless they require a non-portable single Bluetooth speaker. UPDATE - That strange smell was the reactor meltdown. Shortly after smelling, the LED flashes yellow, indicating a thermal overload. It wasn't an impressive experience out of the box.
