Feather makes the best DE blades and their best holders: the popular and completely rustproof AS-D2 razors. I bought both of these two months ago along with a large supply of blades (new Hi-Stainless in yellow boxes). As I have soft skin, a heavy beard and have only shaved with clear cold water for the last twenty years, I get consistently perfect results with both razors: a very close shave without any aggression. Skin. Both are well balanced and very forgiving. If you hear her sing, you're shaving at the right angle. So always and everywhere the perfect shave: the AS-D2 stays at home when Popular travels with me. The AS-D2 will last longer than me and if I lose or break the Popular and it's still available I'll rush to replace it immediately. Too bad about my old Merkur and a few leftover Wilkinson blades: they are now in the drawer...
