The first unit I received did not have a screen protector and actually had something stamped directly onto the LCD. Also, it was very badly scratched and wouldn't turn on after turning it off, so I replaced it with another device. The second device at least works and comes with a sticky plastic screen protector, but has vertical lines on the LCD. It takes a long time to get it right and the thought of doing it a third time isn't perfect, so it just has to be good enough. The lesson learned is to pay a few dollars more and get a better quality replacement.
