Many years later this is the first shaver that brought me back to the electric shaver. I recently had to take blood thinners and cut myself too badly with my regular razor so I decided to try an electric razor again. Surprisingly, this Braun shaves beautifully in just a few passes and I don't have the irritation I remember from previous razors. I strongly recommend it to those who have not tried electricity for a long time. However, I agree with many here that the instructions are confusing. In a small booklet, they try to reduce everything to pictures à la Ikea instructions, and the result is terrible. I had no idea how to set up the cleaning base from the pictures or if I was doing what I was supposed to do after the shave to clear the block. I also have no idea when or how to replace the e-liquid cartridge at the right time. Or am I using the cleaning brushes correctly? In short, Braun needs to rethink this manual and put it into words. Otherwise and most importantly, this is an amazing razor. It shaves really smooth and the clippers work well. It's an odd-looking, angular object that sits on a bathroom countertop when not in use, but if you don't mind making something that looks vaguely like an odd sculpture (or other personal paraphernalia), I say, make it it. The main advantage - shaving - amazing.
