Review on 🚴 SHIMANO BB-UN300 Bottom Bracket English 68 x 110mm Spindle Square Taper JIS: Premium Performance and Durability by Devin Jenkins

I finally replaced the original Shimano UN-26 bottom bracket in my 2001 Cannondale F500. All in all a fantastic price. Installation was easy with a crank puller and a 20 tooth BB tool. Pros: * It works (no more crunchy or popping) * Hard to beat the price ($24) * Overall weight is 94g less (354g old vs 251g new) * Aluminum cups for non-drive side vs plastic for old * Thread lock on threads Cons: * Very difficult to turn threads (I was very concerned about stripping) * The non-drive side shell has no lip to rest against the frame (I have it flush with the frame driven, hoping I didn't overdo it or drive through)
