I was surfing the internet and found a video of someone armed with what looks like a nerf gun and they shoot table salt at flies. I HAD to have it. I ordered it but it's still not available. Bundle - 2 Items: Bug-a-salt with Goggles Meanwhile I bought this little fly shooter on a whim knowing it would be quick from Amazon Prime, plus it costs just over $5, so I figured even if it only worked a day, it was worth it. I realized: 1. because I hate to admit it. I have a mini fly infestation. I think it was when we had warm weather this week everyone woke up and now it's too cold outside again so they are in my kitchen. it's disgusting.2. Because shooting flies is a lot of fun. I feel like shooting at enemies without firing a pistol/without wearing camouflage/without hiding in the mud. That's great! I feel like I've become quite the expert on "FLYSHOOTER the original BUG GUN" so here's the breakdown: When you get it, it's like a piece of cheap junk. But that's not the case. or if so, then you can't tell. it kills flies, it doesn't break. It's basically a flat fly swatter with a tube that you attach to a spring and hook to the "gun" part, and it's attached with a string. You load a fly swatter into a gun and when you pull the trigger, the fly swatter is released and you get a hard, multi-foot precision hit. Cons: 1. It's a pain to start over. not because it's heavy, but because I don't want to have fly claws on my hands, so I have to either hold the back of the fly swatter to reload or put it on the ground to reload. It only takes 1/2 second, but when you almost miss a fly and want to fire a quick shot, that 1/2 second feels like an eternity. let it fade away from time to time. How do you know how a yo-yo rope wraps around itself? Yes it does. Again, not a big deal, but I thought it was worth mentioning. 3. You must shoot the fly directly. If you enter at an angle, he almost always misses and you have to shoot them when they land. Although I have to say I shot a fly in the air and it was the coolest thing ever. It only worked because he was flying straight at me and was pretty close, but in general - wait for them to land and shoot straight at them, not at an angle. Pros: 1. kills flies 2. it's awesome 3. works faster less and is less gross than fly swatters, fly paper and bug traps. Seriously, even if it's just random flies buzzing around you - get it. Even if there are no flies around you - get it. Before I started killing flies en masse, I spent quite a bit of time filming dried flowers off the table, my husband's butt, cutlery, and we even considered covering it in whipped cream and shooting some "shock camera" videos . Now that it has fly gut on it we can't do that, but I'm totally buying a second one just for "not for fly" use. Here's a video. I did it on purpose to have fun lol
