In high school I loved old Nike canvas shoes and bought a lot of them. I wasn't aware at the time that feet are different widths and attributed possible impact around the ball of the foot to being too rough on the shoes. Fast forward almost 30 years later and I stumbled across these shoes. I ordered them complete and wanted to send them back because this style of shoe never suits my snowshoe shaped feet. But I love her! They took a week for the fabric to loosen up and become really comfortable, but like all good things, it was worth the wait. I can wear them all day and never feel like taking them off. Basically, these are chucks for bulky legs. They have the same super-flat construction without the months-degrading EVA foam that most shoes are made of these days. If you like durable practical shoes, this is a good choice. They came with a cushioned insole, which I immediately replaced with a pair of green Superfeet insoles.
