These lamps are a very (extremely) clever solution for replacing under cabinet lamps. I ordered them after making sure they were compatible with my lights. They work great and I'll probably outlast the life of my apartment. To evaluate compatibility, I read the codes on the old bulbs, compared the old bulb to photos on the sales page, compared the dimensions on the website to the bulb, and estimated the color I needed. After that everything is fine. Please note that these bulbs are halogen bulbs and will get hot. I was told that LED replacement bulbs are now available that don't get hot.
