I loved the first red coat I got. I ordered an XL and it was a bit large for my 12 lb Chihuahua mix, but it was good because I could wear a sweater underneath for extra warmth. A few bad reviews said the straps ripped from the seam so I sewed them on first for extra support. Fast forward about a month. I have ordered a second coat; this time in blue. I ordered XL again. When it arrived I checked the tag to make sure I was the right size. It says XL. To be on the safe side, I sewed the straps on again. Then I went to put it on my dog to adjust the harness. THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR HIM! It's like a straitjacket around his stomach. I don't know if any other manufacturer makes them for them because the red one has a size label on the OUTSEAM (see the right edge in the first picture) and the blue one has a label on the inside. (I turned it inside out so you can see the XL size tag in the first photo. It is visible on the left side of this coat.) Size tags look very different so I suspect two different manufacturers. Since I have already sewn the harness, I cannot return it. The second jacket is almost 3 inches shorter than the first (see pic #1) and the belly area is also about 2 inches narrower (see pic #2).
