I've used this to fix a noticeable chip on a prized bowl that couldn't be replaced, as well as broken bird pottery . shell (approximately 0.5 square inch fracture area). I have followed the directions including the careful advice given in the reviews here at Revain and on the packaging. I applied glue and then applied pressure with rubber bands for 3 days which I think was recommended. The aquatic thing for birds stayed strong even when constantly in contact with (and filled with) water. The repair of the shell exceeded all expectations. This is one of four that I hand wash almost every day and I can't tell which ones have been refurbished. I haven't looked at the shells, but I've looked at them and rubbed the repair edges countless times and it just can't be seen. I can't say if this is the best ceramic adhesive because I doubt I'll ever try anything else. I was a little surprised that Elmer made a product that is so durable - I store it elsewhere so it doesn't mix with craft glue. Obviously constant pressure over time is the key to success.
