Review on Giosio Car Vent Phone Mount for Giosio Wireless Stand Holder: Ultimate Convenience for Your Phone (Charger Not Included) by Kev Mills

This is a replacement for my old charging pad that no longer works. I connected it to the same 5V power supply and cable. It seemed to turn on and the phone showed it was charging, but after a few hours the performance stayed the same. I tried another 5V power supply and got the same results. After some digging I found a 9V power adapter and this time the phone started charging. Perhaps this charger would have performed better if it didn't have that bright LED backlight. They are beautiful but serve no useful purpose. The tiny manual in broken English (see screenshot) states that the LEDs are on "while charging", but in fact they are always on and I would expect them to burn out after a year or so, making the charger pretty ugly looks.
