Review on πŸ‘– Brown Casual Belt | Nickel-Free Option by Brent Dietrich

Revainrating 2 out of 5

but the quality of the strap is marginal at best. The belt is more than one piece

UPDATE After 6 months of daily use this belt is finished and ready to be thrown in the bin. I can't believe how low the quality was for $40. A few months ago I sent a nickel free email and the reply I got was nothing but a joke. I was told they are "99.9% sure" the buckle is nickel free. Regarding the breakage issue, I received "30% off our Signature Series belts". Like I said in my original review, there are no guarantees, just a discount on a brand new nickel free belt that's $80+! Feel free to spend money on nickel free products, but I've done it once and won't make that mistake again! Original rating. For €40 I was expecting a higher quality, but that's not the case at all. As advertised it is nickel free, my rash was gone in 2 weeks but the quality of the strap is marginal at best. The belt is not 1pc. For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to make the belt out of two parts: the outer part is leather and the inner part is some kind of junk vinyl. The junk vinyl inside broke completely in half where I buckled my seat belt, but this is not covered by the 1-year breakage guarantee. Well it's a joke. How about a belt made from a piece of quality leather? At $40 none of the nickels could make a big profit. But the profit outweighs the quality, so you end up with cheap 2 pieces. The plating on the buckle has worn away and the underlying metal is turning green. Again, this isn't covered by their one-year warranty against defects. In general, your belt buckle rash will go away by using this belt, but you will only get about 3 months of daily use. It's pretty terrible for $40 if you ask me. And don't forget the 1-year guarantee, there is no such thing.

Pros
  • There's something inside
Cons
  • Minor issues
