Review on ๐Ÿบ Bormioli Rocco Glass Fido Jars - Airtight Hinged Lid for Fermenting, Kitchen Storage Containers, Bulk Food Storage (2 Pack) (1 Liter/33 3/4 Ounce) - With Paksh Chalkboard Labels by April Rodgers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

One glass was slightly leaking, the other was fine. It remains to test the rest.

I have a feeling one of my cans is leaking a little. After a slight shake, I got some juice from the glass on my hand, but not much. Yes, I cleaned the seal and glass bezel before attempting to close it. Another glass I tested closed well. When opening the cans, you don't have to act as shown and break the seal, just open the lid. No sucking or anything, don't know why they say to open them like that. Everything arrived very well packaged, no glass was broken. Tons of bubble wrap and a few cardboard dividers. The included labels and pen worked very well. I stuck the label on top of the glass with no problem. The seals are separate from the jars themselves and must be collected. The metal closure is already in place but can be removed to clean the glasses. In terms of size, I could have fit 6 Meyer lemons with the juice in them. It was the maximum that could go in and I've been breaking them up since I've been making canned lemons. I was also able to stick about 6 medium limes (not key limes) in one of the jars and make canned limes again. Even if I got a slightly punctured can here, after testing only two of them these are very good cans. If the other 2 work and seal well, then it stays at 4 stars. But I wish I had 4 working cans that I paid for.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Modern
