Excellent customer service + convenience for my dashcam

I will list the pros and cons but first I have to thank Vantrue customer service for working with me on this product. I couldn't install mine within the warranty period (1 year) and had to ask someone to help me install it. It's a cheap product but they still helped me, who else would? We looked at common issues that users might encounter (e.g. blown fuse, bad connection, ground wire issue) and found that the problem might be in the device itself (PCB/PCB I think). Rarely, but it happens. In short: they listened, sympathized, offered a replacement. You probably lost money, but this is how you get repeat business. Anyway, on the pros and cons: Pros: - Sufficient cable length for most cars (do me a favor and install it right, no dangling/running cables.) - Choice of add-a-fuse options, that match your fuse box. Allows you to leave the Vantrue S1 on all the time or only when the car is on without being plugged into the accessory outlet. (I always prefer inclusive *) -Price. (Some of those dashcams + gps + r/dashcam related kits are just ridiculous when you put it all together.) - Customer service goes without saying. Cons: - Delivery time if you're impatient. I estimate the delivery time is about 2 weeks. If you have no experience with cars/electricians, you must watch the video. They link to one in the manual. It might not be a big deal, but it's not exactly the same as plugging a USB/Lightning cable into yours and walking away. =

Pros
  • To use Vantrue S1
Cons
  • Exorbitant piggy bank
