Very bad design. Cannot be used like this.
The design of these pendants is such that the bend in the wire from which the plate hangs is flush with the plate. I have used many record hangers over the years and have never seen one like this. I have to bend both wires attached to the top of the board again to avoid the bend to make it usable. If I hadn't ruined the packaging envelope when I opened it I would have sent them back for a refund. I will never buy these hangers again.
