Review on KidKraft Nantucket Wooden Table with Bench and 2 Chairs - Children's Furniture, White, Ages 3-8 by Kat Hernandez

3 year review of kids furniture

So in June 2011 I bought a white Kidkraft Nantucket set with a table, bench and two chairs for my 2 year old twins. Since then they use it almost every day. Now they are almost five and the table is still perfect for them. The set is very durable. A normal sized adult can easily sit on it and an above average sized adult can sit on the bench/chairs for a short time. Children drew, ate and played on it. They stood on chairs, lay on the table, rolled back on the chairs when they fell. At one point I asked Kidkraft for spare parts. Kidkraft was very interested in why they were needed so quickly during the product's lifespan. I was just telling them about my kids' favorite game, riding chairs like horses while balancing on two legs, and other injuries the set suffered, and I got some details in the mail next week. It turned out that parts were not needed. We just re-tightened all the parts, added some wood glue at the stress points and they've been fine ever since. I admit that we could have taken better care of the paint, but the scuffs and a few scratches were definitely not the manufacturer's fault. This set was excellent. I have the feeling that I can trust that this is exactly what you want from children's furniture: almost indestructible and still cute. Bank. Mainly because they fight and try to push each other away. My 8 and 10 year old nieces (a bit small for their age) also used this table during their visit and had no problems.

Pros
  • tables and chairs
Cons
