After a bad experience with a WiFi extender, I bought this extender after it was recommended to me by a friend. Works 1000 times better! I can video chat and stream in my former dead zone with perfect clarity. If you're reading this: it's worth spending the extra money to get this.

As mentioned, this thing is incredibly easy to set up, especially with the WPS setup option. Rather than moving our existing router, which would have been difficult, this was exactly what we needed. We were able to increase the speed of 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks with no problem. The only limitation I noticed was that it kept renaming our 5GHz network to whatever - even after I manually changed it to match our 5GHz network.

TP-Link has many great products. This isn't one of them. I specifically chose the AC1750 repeater for my TP-Link AC1750 WiFi router. This WiFi extender is beyond useless. After turning it on, it works for about an hour with excellent speed on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Then the 5GHz band drops out and I have full bands but no internet connection. At this point, the 5 GHz LED on the extender is off. For some reason even my WiFi router shows a working 5GHz band.
